Quaint little place tucked away on the sidestreets of Manitou. Haven't sampled their eats just yet but their taplist is always great, especially their guest taps. One of the few places in the area that has Dogfish 120 on tap!

It was a perfect day for day drinking and outdoor seating. We always start with a flight when trying out a new brewery. With 4 samples for $7, it makes for an easy way to explore the drafts. Beer: Manitou Common: flavorful, easy to drink American Blonde Ale: uneventful, skip if you can Summer Wheat: sweet undertones, great beer Raspberry Berliner Weisse: typical sour German, raspberry tones make this a perfect summer drink Food: Truffle fries, fresh grated Parmesan, sriracha sauce has a kick; a little garlicky, I like it that way but not for everyone. Very generous portions, plenty to share. Then we ordered 10 wings for $5! Yes, Wing Wednesday after 3pm, making this place a must. We split the order with 2 of the more interesting sauces: honey habanero and jalapeño bacon lime. Neither spicy but a lot of flavor. Honey habanero was the clear winner. The wings were definitely fried to achieve the crispy exterior. Overall, well worth trying this place on wing Wednesday and taco Tuesday.

I liked this place, but it wasn't my favorite. We ate some food, got some beers, and continued on our journey in the springs, as the tourists that we were. It's worth checking out if you're there, but I wouldn't go out of your way.

Great brewery in Manitou Springs. We arrived right around when they opened and got a prime spot on the patio. Great spot for dogs- water bowls abound! We ordered the fried pickles, the very berry salad and the cheddar soup. Salad was amazing- lettuce, kale, spinach, sunflower seeds, raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, and jicama. Big salad that was filling when combined with the beer. Soup was delicious too, although more like a cup of melted cheddar cheese rather than soup (maybe better that way? :)). The 4 star rating is because: the soup was served in a paper cup/bowl which was kind of disappointing- why not a regular bowl (we're Eco nerds) and also the pickle slices-- they weren't amazing but they were decent. Beer was fantastic- Raspberry Berliner Weisse, Pineapp-ale Wheat, Burro Barn Brown, Ska Vernal Minthe Stout, and Colorado Cider Company Cherry Glider Cider. All 4s out of 5. We also asked about the crazy tri-brew (Stone + Wicked Weed + Ecliptic Points Unknown IPA) - and our waiter was happy to answer questions and he even brought us a sample to try. Friendly staff!!

So far every time I come in staff is great. The food is good and the beer is better. Haven't had a beer I haven't enjoyed yet. Sometimes gets crowded during summer but what in Manitou doesn't. Love the space. Keep brewing good beer

Great service. Delicious food. The pork belly tacos were amazing. Pumpkin Beer was tasty!

I have been to a number of places in Manitou over the years when I am in the area for business. This place so far tops the list. It is a nice, casual environment where you can have conversations with friends and colleagues, sit inside or outside, eat light and relatively healthy or big and hearty. They have a good beer selection of their own beer which is reasonably priced.

In Manitou Springs for our anniversary and decided to stop at MBC for lunch, because of yelp reviews. The place did not disappoint. Great beer choices and good food. I definitely suggest stopping by on your next visit.

I personally don't drink beer but the folks I was with really enjoyed the beers that they serve here. Food was average, not bad. Our server was friendly and efficient.

Things here are ok, my daughter ordered the bacon mac n cheese if you enjoy a thick cheese than get this but there are very few noodles and they are hard to find in all the cheese. The MBC belly burger taste like a veggie burger they grind the beef and the pork together to make a mushy burger, it was also over cooked on the edges. The other burgers were small compared to the bun. Although that was bad we did like the nice staff, fries of any type, and the fried pickles. Other people in my party did enjoy the mac n cheese.

PHENOMENAL veggie burger and fries! Wonderful patio and a cute indoor area with a bar. Manitou Springs may be the cutest little town that I've ever visited. Nestled in the mountains - it's just perfection!

  • Susie A.

Cool new, hip brewery in a cute town. I loved my veggie quinoa burger! Awesome fries that hit the spot. Didn't care for my pumpkin ale. I love ale and all things pumpkin, but for some reason the combo just doesn't work for me. Still I keep trying. The pumpkin bread dessert was AMAZING though. I could eat it every day. No joke!

  • Nicole W.

Pro tip: It is located down a mini side street, look for the chalkboard! There are no high chairs! Perfect! Patio is lovely and off the main drag. Strong beers, mostly ipa, ales and the like. Lots of yummy choices! The staff is friendly and helpful and know their beers! The food options are actually healthier or seem healthier than normal. The nacho is liminted in the cheese but has a good flavor on the cheese, chicken and beens. It;s messy, but that is ok. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. It is not really kid friendly although people still do it - no booster seats or high chairs - folks, that's a hint. take your wee ones elsewhere! The combo of the different beers, guest taps and food make it a good spot in a tourist trap. Note: free parking by the park, just a short walk to downtown!

  • Mike F.

Try the Pork Belly Tacos and Manitou Common ale! Great combo. Dog friendly too!

    (5)
  • Banagis W.

Atmosphere scared me a little at first but food and beer made up for any negative thoughts! Plus you can bring your dog if you dine outside!

A wonderful escape from the cliche tourist-y shops in the area. Beers are cheap and tasty!!!!! Outside seating is where it's at. Service is attentive and quick! Dog friendly!

Fabulous bacon cheese burger, chicken salad, fries, local beer. Perfect location in Manitou. We really enjoyed this bar/restaurant. No kids menu, but my daughter loved the burger. Patio looked fun too.

Saturday night: very busy inside and out, but the service was great. (4) stars for the service, the pretzel bites with white queso, and the beer selection. Our food was average: my pulled pork sandwich was dry and cold, and though my hubby enjoyed his Reuben, it was dry as well. The fries were a win. Beer choices: He ordered the Burro Barn Brown, a chocolate ale brewed by the MBC. I prefer light and fruity beers and opted for the Dogfish Head Festina Peche, which is perfect for hot summer nights. Big thumbs up on both beers. Dog-friendly patio and great, central location. We'll definitely return to give the food menu another try and to experiment with more brews!

    (4)
  • Stacey F.

Not my typical style of beer, but surprisingly, I loved all four on tap! Favorites include the Common and Experimental IPA #5. In fact, the IPA may just be the best IPA that I've tasted on this NV/UT/CO beer tasting road trip! Nicely done, MBC! (Rosemary fries were delicious, too!)

It was a busy Saturday afternoon when we came so they were swamped. We weren't in a hurry so didn't mind the longer wait. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. The beers were very good, had the Agave Ginger Saison and the Pineapp-ale wheat and both were excellent for this hot day after the incline. I got the Reuben and it was very good. My friends for the bronco burger (he claimed the best burger he had had in a long time) and the pork belly burger was exceptional as well. Highly recommend this as a stop.

  • SouthernFoodie M.

First, great beer selection and super nice staff. That was great. Kitchen needs a lot of work. We ordered burgers... What brewery doesn't have good ones? We got ours and the burgers were frozen patties, and the buns were stale. So we asked to get better buns. They came back with new fries ... But the same bitten into patties ... On new but stale buns still. Ewh! This means the chef used his cooking utensils on my old food.. And on anyone else's new food. Not to mention, my husband and I were not sure whose old burger patty was whose. Bleck!!! I had also been there a few months ago and had oiley tacos. So .... Be forewarned.

I have been here a total of five times. The first time, which was last summer, I had a wonderful experience. Three times I have walked out after waiting 20-30 minutes without being acknowledged. One time I ordered food and walked away after waiting almost an hour for it to show up. None of the times I have visited has it been so crowded that the wait was understandable. The food and beer is exquisite, but not worth being ignored and having your glass go empty. If the place cleaned up their service by making it quick and efficient, then I would totally patronize this place. Otherwise, I will have to skip it because when I visit a brewery, I expect to be not only acknowledged, but served food and beer!

  • Chuck M.

This place is going to be a regular stop for me. The food is very good and the beers are uniquely crafted and distinct from other brew pubs in the region. Great stuff!

    (5)
  • John K.

Manitou has a nice wide selection of beer from top to bottom. Their flagship, the common, is a fine example of a well rounded beer that is designed for the masses. It is a beer to be shared over good food served outside and consumed to liven the conversation and spread hearty laughter with a touch of truth. This is beer with a purpose.

    (4)
  • Monica L.

Beer is good, I like their own brews as well as the unique guest beers they have from other breweries. I had their truffle oil fries they were delicious as well.

  • Rebeca R.

This brewery is fantastic! A huge variety of their brews, a long list of guest taps, and a big food menu all contribute to an amazing brewery. I have been here a couple of times now and it is great! They have a lovely little patio that allows dogs, a huge interior space and a decent sized bar. I got to sample their tasty pumpkin brew last weekend as well as some munchies - yummo! Additionally, they have THREE of the Colorado Cider Company's tasty ciders available too! Including my personal favorite the Pome Mel. This is so super great, I love the support! You can get a pour in 10oz or 16oz for most brews. And the service is wonderful as well. Whether near closing time or crazy busy, the brews flow quickly and the food is satisfactory. The layout is comfortable and the vibe is inviting, I can't envision a trip to Manitou Springs without visiting their namesake brewery!

My friend and I wanted to grab a nice lunch and a beer after hiking Garden of the Gods and this was the perfect spot! It started to pour as we drove, but we dashed in and ate a gigantic meal. We both loved our beers and we split one of the fancy mac and cheeses plus each got a sandwich. Definitely had a food coma for a while, but it was worth it! Plus, the wait staff was very friendly and helpful.

Best pork belly I've ever had, been here twice about a year apart and they switch up the menu to keep in new and exiting. Great food with culinary excellence and it shows. Great beer too, but I go there for the food!!

Appetizers and beer, what a neat break! The Cherry Glider Cider is soooo yummy! The Hubs had the MBC Spot Hop IPA, and loved it! Awesome spot! Go check it out!

Fun place to done and wine (well beer) in downtown manitou. I had their flight and a few select drafts. All of which were sublime. Also ate here and had their marinated chicken sandwich. Hit the spot and would go back again. Great prices too we left full and with a buzz for under 70$ !

Hitherto, I assumed that traveling to Manitou, was the equivalent of Timbuktu. Hereto, I will know I have been thereto, and was only too pleased to enjoy the beers offered at Manitou Springs (in situ). Beer choices on this visit were limited, a mere four (not 42) brews, but several other beers were available from other brewers whereto wet one's whistle. The house American Blonde was pretty basic and similar to a mild pilsner. Many self-identified connoisseurs of craft beer may find it boring, but it would be an approachable beer to order for one's macro-brew swilling friends should you drag them down to Manitou Springs. The Belgian Strong Dark Ale, by contrast, was complex, interesting, and flavorful. Like Robert Frost's poem, "Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening", it was lovely, dark and deep. We did have miles to go before we would be done with our impromptu Springs brewery tour. This place is hidden behind a dress shop. As you skirt the shop, and walk up to the entrance, you pass through a decent-sized and nice looking brick patio area. The interior is comfortable, and there are some nice food options. I had the pork belly tacos. They may not have been bargain priced, at close to $10 for three tacos, but they were excellent. Nice flavors and textures were found in these miniature marvels. They were nice to look at, easy to eat, and they were washed down beautifully by my beer.

Beer is solid, staff is friendly, patio is awesome! Food is great too! Everyone was able to order something they liked (we're a 2 veggie crew, 2 omnivore). Would come back again!

The only reason I didn't give MBC a five star rating is that they don't have a full bar - not a problem for beer and cider lovers, but my hubby is a strict Captain & Coke drinker and he wasn't able to satisfy his thirst. That being said, the food was amazing! I had the truffle Mac n cheese and I absolutely cannot believe how good it was. My husband had the bronco burger and regular fries - I swiped a couple fries from him and they were awesome. He said his burger was great too. I tried the cherry sour beer and the "common". I wasn't really into the common, it was a little too earthy (?) for me - it's infused with coriander and I'm not sure that's really my thing. The sour was excellent though. Definitely recommended to beer lovers and food lovers alike!

What a great night! There were four of us and we were there for about three hours on the patio. Our waiter, Scott, was very helpful and friendly. Pretzel bites were delicious and the pork belly tacos were a hit at our table. The beers, atmosphere and weather were awesome!

  • john W.

Thank you for not having kids chairs.. BECAUSE IT'S A BREWERY. Other than the amazingly loud family that showed up with two kids, and made our ptobably 2 beer lunch a 1beer and GFTO lunch, the place was cool. Great food, tasty beer. I actually had a guest beer, but that's how it goes sometimes. We shared a nacho and pretzel bites, I'd go back for both.

Great beer! But slow service, came with 5 people and it took about 40 min to get anything besides beer. MBC Belly Burger was amazing, tacos good, Mac and cheese was mediocre. Overall good time!

This place is fan-freaking-tastic! Opening just 3 months ago, MBC has done an awesome job filling the void of missing brewery in Manitou! I went in here last week as it is just down the hill from my brother's new house and was delighted by the tasty beers and delicious food. I had a sampler of the brews made specifically there and was pretty impressed by the well balanced flavors and refreshing taste of each of the beers. My favorites were the brown and IPA, but all of them had good character and I could easily recommend any of the assortment. In addition to their own selection they have a vast array of guest beers including cider's from Colorado Cider Company and a few of the hoppy San Diego Breweries . Liquor peeps fear not they also have you covered with some Colorado spirts, as well as, wines. If this isn't enough I had dinner here and was blown off my bar stool by the delicious Reuben accompanied with some phenomenal house made beer mustard. Oooo-weeee! That was some good stuff. The interior is nothing to run home and talk about, but hey the rest makes up for it! I highly recommend anyone in the area to hit them up. You won't be disappointed!

This place was brand new when I was there. They were still getting some stuff figured out, but for the most part I had an excellent experience. The beer was good and it has a very cool setting. They have some outdoor seating, some big group tables, a bar, hightops and lowtops all of which are fit into a pretty small area. Even though they were new the bartender and waitress we had were very knowledgeable about the beer and beer in general. I had the grilled chicken sausage which was awesome. Oh and they have wine and liquor as well! This is an awesome hidden gem if you're wandering around Manitou Springs, which I would recommend checking out over downtown Colorado Springs, at least during the day.

This place is really cool. I love the outdoor patio. The food is pretty good. Loved the beer cheese soup! It's a brewery so I beer is what I was here to critique.I had the agave ginger saison, pineapple wheat and the sour all amaze balls. Also dogs on the patio are ok, so all around a little gem!!

The food here was some of the best I've had anywhere. The pork belly tacos and quinoa burger were exceptional. Loved the beers there too. Service was also great and friendly. I would highly recommend this place and I for sure will be back often.

Food and beer are great the first time...second time I went, today, I sat at the bar for about 7 to 19 minutes with two staff memebers who.couldnt be bothered to seven say hello....at the bar....with them haveing to cross in front of us to serve others... when I walked out they did ask me "did you order anything" nope, pretty sure you would have known if I did as you were the bar tender. Too bad, still give it three.stars for the product. The other day the girl was brand new but sweet.

What a great addition to the Manitou scene. Tucked away just off of Manitou Ave, it can be a little difficult to find the first time, but is so rewarding when you do. Let's start with the ambiance, a really sleek yet rustic looking room greats you when you enter the door. The bar stools are made from re-purposed wine barrels, and the bar has a classic and clean look to it. I want to stress again how clean this place is, spotless all around, each time I've been I can not remember a single unbussed table or anything at all out of sorts. The beer is quite tasty and has been getting better each time I go there. The staff is also incredibly knowledgeable about what they are selling which is a huge plus in my book. Whether it be the type of hops used, the variety of beer being served, or just general questions - they've always been able to answer without hesitation. Additionally they also have a full bar which makes it easy to bring a group as most brewpubs tend to just be one horse shows - I can bring my non-beer drinking heathen friends there without issue. As for the food, it is spot on. Their chicken nachos are out of this world. The korean tacos as delicious. The quality of the ingredients really shows through, and the menu is diverse enough to please almost every palette. This place is a real winner and I wish it nothing but success!

Great beer! and delicious food! They have a very welcoming open atmosphere that features a bar area and tons of table to choose from, a large TV to watch the game on and again Great Beer to choose from. The staff is very helpful and can help you find the right beer for you by offering a small tasting. They even have a small selection of wine which will make nice for the non-beer lover. They are located behind the dress shop and up the little alley about forty feet.

Incredibly loud and short on seating. The quinoa veggie burger was so delish, though!

Tucked into a little nook right off of Manitou's main street, this brewery is the perfect find. This brewery has the ideal atmosphere and size, with a little space to escape outside. The food is good every time and the beers are always great with a varied seasonal menu. I had the Gourd Hoarder's Pumpkin Ale last night, very solid. The guest list of beers on tap is always a pleasant surprise, hosting several local brewery choices and even some you'd not expect to see. This should be a definite stop for any beer lover while in the Springs area. Bravo guys!

  • Jack S.

This place has great beers rotating from other breweries, but they are a brewery that can make a damn good brew themselves. I'm an IPA lover so this is my go to spot in Manitou for hoppy and delicious beer. They don't have a huge menu but what they do, they do well. Be sure to check out the chefs specials of the day. I had a killer chimichanga stle cheeseburger that was insane! The service is great and the staff is always friendly.

Small selection. 4 custom beers. I really enjoyed the honey blonde! I would have loved custom pint glasses or a tasting menu. Looks like this place just started though. They have potential!

Yet another awesome brewery I've tried and loved in this area! We came for a late lunch after a long day of hiking. Had to deal with some traffic in the town center since it's tiny and one of the roads was closed, but this place made the wait worth it! Truffle fries are soo addicting! The cherry sour beer was delicious and the perfect amount of sour lol. Their burgers are awesome and I tried a couple of my friend's nachos, which had a great queso sauce on them as well. Service was excellent and there was no wait for us, although I did see some people waiting for about 5-10 minutes after we'd sat down. Definitely recommend this place!

  • Michael M.

Pork belly taco: braised pork belly, bacon jam, pickled red onion, spiced creme fraiche, corn tortilla. This was excellent. No sides, so if you are hungry order one. Reuben: like you would expect, but with side house beer mustard. The Reuben was well executed, but not out of the ordinary. The mustard had a kick, thankfully it is served on the side. The house cut fries: worth their weight in beer. Bourbon vanilla stout went down smooth and paired well with the tacos and reuben. No growlers filled... Yet... Worth the visit.

Whenever we have family or friends come in to visit us we love to take them to Manitou Brewing for a fabulous beer and great food to go with it too. You can find the most unique brews in town & it is such a wonderful friendly place to be!! The owner goes around and asks the patrons if they are enjoying themselves & if they need anything. I would recommend this place for a good drink and fun!!!

Bland beers. Subpar food. Terrible service. Maybe it was just too busy, but, a place should have some foundation to handle rushes.

  • Shawn W.

This was a nice place. Good atmosphere. Staff awesome. Buffalo wings were good, spinach/artichoke dip was eh, more cheesy not so much spinach or artichoke. It was in served in a fried flour tortilla that was very crisp and tasty. I had a honey wheat beer and my husband had a Porter. He said it was the best he ever tasted. He even liked my beer and he doesn't like wheat beer. Worth going to.

We enjoyed lunch here on 7/15/15. Good food, clean place, great waiter. The pretzel bites with cheese sauce was the favorite of our group. We tried the apple pie at the suggestion of our waiter and it was different but very good.

This place is a little gem nestled down a brick alley in Manitou Springs! Super yummy appetizers/food and very reasonably priced. Their menu changes seasonally but always delicious And the beer? Simply amazing! Love that they serve a collection of beer from other Colorado breweries. When they advertised the Sunday pig roast night, I was anxious for two weeks for it to arrive! Unfortunately to my dismay, the pork served to me and my friend was cold (cold pork is never a good thing) and yes i did get food poisoning from it :/ bummer. but! I'm not going to let that affect their overall rating bc not only is this place frickn awesome, but their standard menu is always on par

Friendly staff, good food, good beer, good experience. Had the raspberry sour beer, tasted great, very fruity and very sour ($5). Also had a flight of their 4 house beers, all tasty ($5) The common was really good. Good selection of other beers on tap as well. For food, my waitress recommended the Reuben, which was solid. The fries it came with were dank. ($9) Will be back, would recommend.

Stopped in the other day and sat at the bar. We did a sampler to get a feel for the beers. Of the seven only two were decent. Service was ok. Took forever for them to run our card, multiple servers walked by, looked at our card, and then continued chatting or doing whatever they were doing. Will stick to some of our other local favs.

Finally, a craft place in Manitou. Don't get me wrong, I love the Keg, the Royal Tavern, the Ancient Mariner for what they are, but MBC is a great little place tucked away back off the main road in some old art studio storefronts. MBC beers are good to excellent with nothing bad, plenty good. Guest taps are also well-chosen and balanced. Any time I can get an imperial Yeti, I'm happy. Food is wonderful with my favorite being the brisket with bacon (!) and slaw with tasty fries. Small menu but that is both acceptable and understandable here. The location is great with limited seating outside under the trees. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Very happy to see them doing so well with a busy taproom most every time I've been A must-try on the west side during a summer visit to Manitou, hiking the Incline or on your way up I-24. Great job guys.

In brief, Manitou Brewing Company makes a variety of delicious beers, has solid food, and a great space. A big part of the magic of MBC is its space. It sits off of 24 and feels like a retreat from the tourist bustle of Manitou Springs. The patio is small but is incredibly inviting as it is thoroughly shaded by several trees. The interior is modern but maintains that slightly eccentric and historical feel of Manitou Springs by having old-timey light fixtures, a corrugated tin roof, and a cozy split level layout. The chairs are ingeniously crafted from barrel staves and are dangerously comfortable. The bar area is the highlight as it is stopped by a gigantic slab of wood and sits on something like fifty layers of various laminated woods. It is really gorgeous. But the all-important factor of a brewery is the beer. It is good. Highlights at the time of my visit were the Spot Hop IPA, Berliner Weisse, and Honey Wheat. The Spot Hop IPA was brewed with Columbus, Nugget, and one other hop variety I cannot recall and it was quite stone fruit-forward along with typical citrus and pine flavors. The mouthfeel was just perfect as it was not heavy nor did the malt backbone ever threaten to overwhelm the hop flavors which were the stars of the show. The Berliner Weisse was very grapefruit forward and it was just what I needed on a ninety degree July afternoon. My thirst was quenched in the best way and this would be a great beer to introduce someone to soured beers or to hook a wine drinker on craft brew. It was light and low ABV so I could easily drink it all day. My only complaint is that I wish there were more lactic sourness to give it a little extra crispness and effervescence. The Honey Wheat is actually brewed with orange beel and coriander in addition to the honey and thus presents a good deal more complexity than one might expect from a summer seasonal wheat beer. The orange peel and coriander dominate the flavor but the honey speaks up at the finish and as one has multiple sips, all three notes reach a beautiful equilibrium that make for a particularly enjoyable summer sipper. There were three other beers I tried and they were alright. The amber is actually pretty tasty for a style that usually tends towards bland. There is a noticeable hop bitterness from start to finish that contrasts well with the amber sweetness and makes for a refreshing session beer. The Manitou Common is entirely unremarkable but inoffensive. The same goes for the Burro Barn Brown. I found the food to be up to par with the beer. The pretzel bites are soft but lightly toasted for a perfect texture and served with a savory and slightly spicy cheese sauce. The hummus was really tasty but I was disappointed with the portion size. The truffle fries disappeared almost as soon as they hit the table, enough said. Prices were overall on point. MBC makes value by providing a great experience and great food and drink. Their prices are pretty average relative to other craft beer venues and that feels right. I will definitely be coming back. Manitou Brewing Company makes delicious food and beer and the atmosphere is so decidedly "Manitou" that it just feels right. I love Manitou Springs as a place to bring out of town visitors and I am really glad that now I have a solid place to catch locally brewed craft beer and another option for excellent food.

Dog friendly patio! Good beer. Cute place. Try the sampler! We didn't eat here, but the food passing by looked better than your standard bar faire. The service was a little slow, but it's a cute little mountain town, so if you're impatient, you should maybe take in the scenery & clean air and try to relax. It's a great place to talk with other folks. We made friends in that patio!

Their delicious thirst quenching beers pair exceptionally well with their homemade queso topped chicken nachos. I only wish I could take home said beers in my hand dandy growler, but this is currently prohibited. I hope they change that policy.

Great place. Excellent house beers and strong selection of guest taps. Not to mention the food is delicious too. It's not a huge menu, but I wouldn't expect a huge menu from a nice little brewery. They don't need a huge menu because the food is done well...and the beer is done even weller.

I give credit to Manitou Brewing for keeping it local and small in a town over-run by touristy spots. They are off the main drag, but down a small walkway (not visible from the street). I really enjoyed sitting on their patio and drinking their Berliner Weiss with raspberry coulis. Super tasty and perfect for a warm June day! We also partook in their daily hummus (a green chili flavored dip) and some of their rosemary/manchego fries. Both of these bites were delicious and perfect for sharing!

A must if you're in Manitou! It's a somewhat small space but has a great atmosphere and great service. Food was great - the pork belly tacos are the bomb! It was so good that we went back on our second day in Manitou as well!

Great little spot hidden back off the street. Great beer and atmosphere! First visit but next time we're in town it will be a first stop. Try all the MBC brews.

Really cool little joint located in a prime spot in manitou (one of the best patios). They had a pretty decent beer lineup, which included several interesting "guest brews." Food was good...definitely want to go back to try a few more things that looked yummy. Service was slow though. There was one server running her butt off and 3 that I couldn't figure out what they were doing. May have just been in on an off night, so I will give them the benefit of the doubt on that and will for sure visit again.

Food and beer are good, but if you sit on the patio and don't care for dogs and cigarettes take a pass.

Some of the best food I've had in Manitou including the Cliff House and Mona Lisa. Wine selection is small bit filled with award winning wines. Husband says the Belgian Dark is "fawesome". Highly recommend the pork trotter and brisket sandwich. Can't wait to come back tomorrow for lunch! Lots of gluten free options including local Cider!

This is by far the best brew pub in the Pikes Peak region...the best beer and bar food of any of the many many pubs in our town. The service is so efficient and pleasant, the cooks meticulously prepare the food and it is always served hot and delicious, the beer selection generous, cold, and always served in the right sort of glass.

I am beginning to crack the code of Colorado restaurants. The more lackluster they are, the more 4 and 5 star reviews they get, like I am back in Iowa, the anus of the country. We visited this place, and we both got veggie Cobb salads, and some fries. My wife's Cobb salad still had foil wrapped around the Blue cheese. When she told the waitress, the waitress proffered her mitt to accept the fouled cheese. We also quickly realized this place's fries are not fresh, they are FROZEN. Naturally, I contacted the brewery to complain. After the second email sent out, the manager told me that they never claim that their fries are fresh, and that they do not have the room to prepare fresh fries. I find that amazing, as a potato press is smaller than an infant's head. Many breweries pride themselves on making great fries, like a Mountain Sun/Vine Street. Not this place. I had hoped the manager would be coherent enough to rectify this situation. All we were told was sorry, and that "I bet if you tried our beer, you weren't disappointed in that". So, I guess good beer makes up for shitty frozen food, at elevated prices, and bad customer service. Not in my world, fool. An Update [06/11/15]: Some simple-minded person left me a "compliment" chastising my honest review of this place. I'm not sure who does that exactly, reaches out to someone on Yelp to comment on the reviewer's critique. I imagine someone quite lonely. Judging by their diction, they spend entirely too much time texting and the like, and have forgotten basic English skills. Nonetheless, the person seemed to know an awful lot about this place, which leads me to believe it is someone who either works here, or at least is in tight with the staff. I would imagine most people do not like paying for frozen food that they could eat at home, nor do they like finding garbage in their food that must be picked out. When a customer reaches out to the restaurant to let them know they are not satisfied, and management does nothing, Yelp provides an outlet to share with others your experience. So, piss off, if you don't like my review. I could care less.

Stopped in for lunch the other day. Great little place tucked in off the main drag. Great food with even better beers. Worth your time if you are in town.

Great beer, cool vibe and decent service. We have ordered the cheese burger the past 3 times and it has been over cooked, nasty tasting and barely edible. Come for the beer, but skip the food.

Sat out on patio-really cozy. Service was excellent. Beer for the most part was good(talking about their beer not guest beers), I especially liked the pumpkin ale Their wings were delicious, also had pork belly tacos-very good but smaller in portion. We will most definitely return next time in manitou.

Perhaps the best burger in Colorado Springs/Manitou. Others in the party said the veggie burger was great as well as the brisket sandwich. Fries on par with the rest of the food. Guest taps as well as their own. All the ones we had were good. Simple.

Great atmosphere. Good local brewery. Looks like the fries and wings are the go to menu items but I didn't try them. **edit**tried the truffle fries with parmesan and sriracha aioli and it was stupid good. FYI Wednesday wings are $5 for 10.

My husband and I love craft beer and anywhere we travel,we try to visit as many as we can. On this quick trip we only got to visit this one and were so pleased. We tried a few different beers and loved the red rye and the Belgian dark. We weren't too hungry but the pork belly tacos were delish! Great patio, great service! Little chilly would have loved some heat on the patio when the sun went down but it was totally bearable. Wish it was closer to home.

Good friendly service, something most places seem to forget or don't think is a good approach. Had the Manitou Common & Burro Barn Brown, both good but the Common was more up my alley. Good job! Didn't care for the pretzel bites, but other food fare looked good. Will have to come back to try other beer & food.

Our second great find of the weekend in Manitou Springs. Food was good and the beer was even better. Staff was friendly and helpful. The dipping sauce for the pretzel bites was outstanding. My kids "split" a 1/2 lb. burger and they brought it out on two plates without us having to ask and at no extra charge. Where else do you get that anymore? I had the IPA and the brisket sandwich, both were great and my husband really enjoyed his reuben. All around we left very satisfied.

Tucked away gem in Manitou! If your in the area, it's worth your while to stop here and grab a beer. Good IPA's! Excellent flavorful fries with truffle oil and asiago cheese. And the pork belly tacos rock!

My husband and I had a great experience here after a hike at Garden of the Gods. I had a tasty cherry-flavored cider, and my husband had one of the beers brewed in-house. The food and service were both really good. We would recommend the brewery to anyone visiting Colorado or Manitou Springs!

This is a gem!!! I can't find a thing wrong. Other than not being able to spend all evening there. The selection of beer was great! The service is very good. The pretzel bites were tasty for a snack. The patio area looks relaxing. I would go again!

We went for the beer but will return for the food. The beer is good, I had the German Wit and the Common, both were good. The Wit was a nice, better than the Common. The IPA was gone so it must be good. The atmosphere is excellent and the service is perfect. My husband had the Carolina Brisket and said it was the in the top 5 of the best sandwiches he's ever had. I had the quinoa veggie burger and it was by far the best veggie burger I've had. We are excited to make this our new regular spot.

This place has solid beer that they brew in-house. If they have the sour raspberry beer when you go, get it...it's delicious! What really keeps bringing me back is their food! I haven't had something that I don't want more of...the pork belly tacos...their life changing. Go for the food, stay for the beer and enjoy a good time with friends while your at it!

Have yet to be disappointed with this place. They have great food and beer. The brisket sandwich is to die for! And their truffle fries are delish. Now they just need to get the quantity of beer up and start selling growlers

I had the Burro Brown beer which I thought was great (a little hoppy, which is why I liked it), but my husband had the Summer Wheat and was not super impressed. The truffle fries are great, but steer clear of the fried pickles if you are craving the vinegar taste--tasted more like fried cucumbers.

The place is really nice but gets loud easily due to the open space and metal ceiling. The food was sub par, the panini were barely grilled and barely warm. The black bean hummus was not actually hummus, more of a black bean dip. The beer selection was nice but the wait staff confuses breweries. We were told that they had just tapped a Firestone Walker rye, which we ordered, when in fact it was a Speakeasy Red Rye. The service is lacking, the servers could probably use some training. They only take orders from people which are out of beer even if other people at the table are almost out.

First visit was great. Very nice staff. The IPA was basic but tasty. I do prefer a hop pier IPA but this was tasty. The Brown was good, not too sweet a some browns can be. Did not get a chance to eat but will be back.

Overall, I was pleased with the beer and bummed about the food. All of the brews my friends and I tried were delicious; I would definitely go back for any of the several that I tried! However, I was super pumped to get the bacon blue burger. It was supposed to have blue cheese obviously, and a bacon jam. Sounded incredible. I couldn't really find any bacon jam or blue cheese on it, though. There was a kinda liquidy mayo-ish substance on one side, and I could see something smushed into the bun on the other side...but I tasted no blue and no bacon :( The burger patty was tasty and cooked well. The bun was a la McDonalds and got soggy. The truffle fries were low on truffle oil and needed salt, and the rosemary frites were meh. Both weren't crispy enough, they needed to be battered or double fried. Fried pickles and pretzels were pretty tasty. Overall a bit of a letdown, but I'd definitely give it another shot, especially for the beer.

This is really comfortable place to have a beer and get some great food. I only visited once, but plan on stopping by next weekend for lunch. The IPA was pretty good and I really like the fact that they spelled it out that as a new brewery they were not yet in the fresh hop rotation and were doing the best they could. An incredibly unpretentious place and staff that made it all the better. The food was great. I had a small plate of pork that was very moist and tasty. I was very happy with the meal until I saw the couple next to me eating the pork tacos. They looked crazy good. Great atmosphere, cool setup, friendly staff, excellent beer, and delectable food--what is there not to like. Well worth a visit, or two ,or three, etc.

I really dig this place. Super nice people, great beer, gourmet food. They have been open a month and already seem to have their sh%t together. I will visiting often. Can't wait to see what they are brewing in a month.

First visit yesterday. Décor is very thoughtful and fits with the location well. Not much on the menu yet but we are excited about what's to come. We had the fried pickles and a couple of blonde ales, brewed on site. The beer was very good as was the appetizer. Tyler, the chef, came up through the Broadmoor and the Craftwood Inn. He is proud of his dishes and homemade sauces. Give it a try.

Quick day trip to Garden of the Gods and Manitou, stopped in to this brewery and pleasantly surprised. Great IPA, truffle fries and wings all at very reasonable prices. With a dog friendly patio as the icing on the cake of this new establishment I'll make it a must-go anytime I'm back in this town!

Had a bacon blue burger last night. It was amazing! Top that off with house cut fries. Come on, who else is doing that at other breweries? No one.
